1st Confrontation: New Mutants #98 February 1991

Cable has made many enemies in his lifetime, but few have proven to be as dangerous as the masked assassin Deadpool! Contracted to "remove" Cable by the mysterious Mr.Tolliver, Deadpool met defeat at the hands of Cable's charges, X-Force-and was unceremoniously shipped back to Tolliver by Federal Express! When next they met, in a knock-down, drag-out, no-holds-barred battle, Cable walked away the victor, wrongly believing Deadpool to have been killed! However, as long as a price remains on the head of the founder of X-Force, Deadpool will be waiting in the shadows to cash-in Cable's chips!
