Demi-Magus

An Atlantean wizard who has earned his first Magestone implant. Channeling energy through Magestone implants is a painful process, and few wizards can withstand the agony of casting major spells. Often become Golem technicians. When a young magus completes the first degree of their training, pieces of Magestone are surgically inserted into their forehead. Through a combination of mastery and great pain, these Magestone pieces can greatly augment their magical abilities.

Every Demi-Magus of the Atlantis Guild knows a life of service and pain. They bear it stoically, for the greater glory of the Guild and for the power it puts in their hands. These men and women proudly bear the topcrest and sigil-covered leather mantle of the guild Mages, but they are set apart from lesser mages by magestones physically set into their skulls. The insertion procedure and its effects remain cloaked in mystery and are the source of much superstitious speculation.
