Famous Battle: Human Torch vs Namor the Submariner

The match-up was inevitable: two opposite elements, fire, and water, locked in combat over the skies of New York! The original Human Torch, an android working for the police, was determined to stop the Submariner's misguided one-man invasion of the city. And though that was only the first of their many battles, The Submariner and the Human Torch eventually became allies in World War II, fighting Nazis side-by-side as members of the superhero team the Invaders! Although the Human Torch and the Sub-Mariner's heroic exploits have continued over the years since then, none of their feats could diminish that first classic conflict.
