Blackwyn

Blackwyn was a human Rebel warlord of the Northlanders faction who thought himself as the famous "mage-prince". Under his command, many heroes of the Land fought against tyranny, including but not limited to Snow, Rowan, Kerraii, Byrch, and Turrak'din. Blackwyn may or may not be the mage-prince, but he is just and kind to the common people of the lands he controls

In 419 Tz, it took only one bullet and an eagle-eyed Revolutionary named Snow to begin a new era in the history of The Land. The assassination of the Atlantis Guild’s leading wizard, Prophet-Magus Karrudan, signaled the rise of a new power in the Land. The years of war and chaos that followed that first gunshot do not exactly tip the scales in their favor. While frequent, bloody battles between the Guild and the free folk of Khamsin have marked the courage and determination of an entire generation of warriors, the first signs are showing that the fight led by Blackwyn, Sarah Ythlim, and other Black Powder Revolutionary warlords may well be having a permanent and undeniable effect on the struggling Empire.

After Snow resigned from the forces fighting in Khamsin, he was forced from the city and took to mercenary ways. Eventually, he met up with Blackwyn, then a simple mercenary commander, and Blackwyn took Snow on for the battle near Xandressa. In the long retreat that followed, Snow found himself in honor of Blackwyn, and in loyalty to his men. Eventually, before the battle of Black Ridge, Blackwyn introduced Snow to Rowan.

Blackwyn then allied himself with the Black Powder Rebels, launching a mounted attack on the strip mine near the Glen to increase his territory and liberate those slaves, hopefully enlisting them in his service and building momentum in his push to the north. Entrusting Jarl Frostriven, Rajidon, and Fickett Townley with the campaign, Blackwyn made a safe bet since the three warlords in a matter of weeks liberated the mine and killed its overseer, Magus Jadron Medaan.

Just recently, with Khamsin having survived destruction at the hands of the combined Atlantean and High Elven armies, and the Northlands secured under the auspice of Warlord Blackwyn’s well-trained Northlander armies, a new era begins for the fighters of the Revolution. With the Council of Merchants solidly in control of Khamsin, and the five-hundred-mile front connecting the Rebel territories of Khamsin, the Grange Valley, the Northlands, and the Amazon homeland of Nepharus Mons, for the first time, the Revolutionaries have a solid base to work from in their war against the other factions – but are going to have to fight like the devil to keep it.

Originally organized by the Warlord Blackwyn, the Northlander armies are totally devoted to the valorous cause of freedom. Made of up volunteers – never mercenaries – Blackwyn’s soldiers are fighting for not just their own soil of Northlands, but to allow their neighbors to have lives free from Atlantean influence. The Northlander armies continued to spread south and east, instigating and aiding the citizens of client-states long dominated by the Empire to rise up against their masters and to claim freedom over their own lives and destinies.
