Acting in what he believed to be the best interests of mankind, the High Evolutionary planned to evolve humanity into a race of superhumans. But his ill-considered scheme was thwarted at every turn by practically every superhero on Earth! Finally, The Avengers tracked the High Evolutionary back to his base, where the superhero Hercules seemingly sacrificed his life to put an end to the insane man-god's master plan!
