Brian Braddock a.k.a. Captain Britain

Originally answering the call to heroism by becoming Captain Britain, the United Kingdom's greatest defender, the scholarly Brian Braddock later on found a new purpose as Captain Avalon, defender of his family's destined kingdom. Born to Lord James and Lady Elizabeth Braddock, and the younger twin brother of X-Men member Psylocke. As twins, Brian is immune to his sister’s powers despite not being a mutant, and the two share a psychic bond. Brian was destined for greatness, as orchestrated by the wizard Merlyn. A reserved scholar with a passion for physics, Brian's life changed after a near-fatal accident, where he was given a choice between the Amulet of Right and the Sword of Might. He chose the Amulet, transforming into Captain Britain under the guidance of Merlyn and Roma. This began his journey as a protector of Earth-616 and the British Isles. Though often crossing paths with his twin sister and their unpredictable brother, Jamie, Brian's path remained uniquely his, despite Merlyn's manipulations
