Maren'kar

Maren'kar was a powerful troll wizard who frequently changed allegiances, first working for Blackwyn and then becoming the head of the Order of the Ninth Circle while still pursuing his agenda. Often speaking in riddles or acting all-around mysterious, Maren'kar had a strong accent to his speech and also owed Byrch money.

In 413 Tz, Maren'kar decided to divine the future of Jason, a young boy who would later in his life join the Rebels. By using scarabs, a red potion, and a touch of flame, he invoked a spell Tezla himself made, revealing the future of Jason by using the boy's blood. The spell revealed that the boy's destiny is singular, which intrigued Maren'kar.
Maren'kar can teleport himself and one or two people with him across great distances and divine the future. When he uses his teleport spell, his image (and the image of those he's teleporting) seems to shimmer for a moment, the air around him becoming angry and sharp, the air is then burning and Maren'kar and his passengers are gone.
